Dear visitor - welcome to my website! I am a researcher and educator working at the intersection of non-equilibrium plasma physics, fluid dynamics, and multiphysics computation. My group develops mainly self-consistent numerical solvers for non-equilibrium discharges and multiphysics, with applications ranging from aerodynamic flow control and plasma-assisted combustion to CO₂ conversion and energy transition technologies.
I am an Assistant Professor of Compressible & Supersonic Flows at the University of Western Macedonia, Kozani, Greece, and a Collaborating Faculty Member at CERTH/CPERI (Centre for Research & Technology Hellas, Thessaloniki, Greece). My work sits at the intersection of fluid dynamics, non-equilibrium plasma and gas physics, and multiphysics numerical methods.
My research develops self-consistent computational models for plasmas, with applications in aerodynamic flow control, plasma-assisted ignition & combustion, and energy conversion. A central thread is the design and validation of robust numerical schemes deployed in open-source and in-house numerical frameworks.
Drift-diffusion solvers for non-equilibrium discharges. Where plasma physics meet compressible fluid dynamics.
Non-thermal plasma enhancement of ignition and flame stabilisation, including NH₃/air mixtures. SDBD actuators on swirler geometries for combustion control.
Surface DBD and annular AC-SDBD discharge physics. Corona and streamer simulation, anomalous discharge phenomena, and actuator design.
Shock–wave interactions, supersonic aerodynamics, and hypersonic plasma coupling. Fundamental gas dynamics underlying both aerospace and energy applications.
